The Lessen The Loads Origin Story
Lessen the Loads is a women-owned and operated laundry and organizational service. In a nutshell: moms who help other moms live a life without laundry and a life without cluttered chaos. This team of local moms provide in- and out-of-home laundry options as well as customized organizational packages to meet your family's every laundry need! Sounds amazing, right?
At Lessen the Loads, we understand the weight of daily laundry and the constant battle to maintain an organized home. Lessen the Loads is here to lift the burden, offering comprehensive services that free you from the relentless cycle of laundry and clutter; collaborating with you to declutter, reorganize and implement systems that maximize functionality and minimize stress.
Lessen the Loads is the brainchild of Ally and MC, who met during their freshman year of high school at St. Pius X in Pottstown, PA. Years later, while Ally attended Gwynedd Mercy University and MC attended Saint Joseph’s University, they decided to embark on a business journey. Little did they both know that these initial efforts would lead them to launch Lessen the Loads.
Like most moms, Ally was drowning and overwhelmed with household tasks after giving birth to her third child. She decided to enlist the help of a local mom’s group to tackle the endless piles of laundry that were accumulating and quickly realized that this type of service is needed in the community to help busy families and individuals in need.
MC is the organizational guru and laundry pro, and Ally is like a lot of our clients needing help - a perfect duo! Lessen the Loads currently serves 300+ families a week, most on a recurring weekly basis. Our passion is in lessening the burden of the most time-consuming household task and the mental load that comes with it. We strive to give people time to focus on the more important things in life, while we handle the laundry!

This was my second time using Lessen The Loads, and it was another great experience. My clothes were picked up by 10am and delivered to me the same day by 630pm, washed, sorted and folded to perfection! Amazing service for when you don’t have time or just don’t feel like dealing with laundry

Lessen the Loads is amazing!!! They’ve changed our life. We’ve used them for almost a year now and they are always on time, quickly finish our laundry, return our laundry perfectly clean and folded, and VERY flexible with scheduling. For example, due to our busy and ever changing schedule, we consistently schedule our laundry pickups less than 24 hours in advance of pickup (i.e., the day before) and Lessen the Loads almost always (~99% of the time) accommodates our request and still returns our perfectly clean and folded laundry within 24 hours of pickup. It’s well worth the money for the time and mental space it saves us. It’s a game changer that I highly recommend to anyone looking to save time by outsourcing their laundry service to a reputable service company that delivers high quality work.
