How much can I really earn?
Specialists working a steady schedule can earn around $300 a week. Our top specialists earn $1,000+ a week by building a base of recurring clients and keeping a consistent schedule. Earn about $60 per service request on average, plus tips. Every pickup has a guaranteed minimum: $32.50 for wash, dry, and fold or $26.25 for fold-only service. What you earn overall depends on how much you take on, which services you offer, and how many families in your area you serve.
When and how do I get paid?
Weekly. You are paid on Wednesday for everything you completed the previous Sunday through Saturday, and you keep 100% of any tip a client leaves you.
Do I set my own hours?
Yes. You tell us your availability and you decide which opportunities to take. Nights and weekends are never required. Many specialists work while their kids are at school.
Is this a job or contract work?
This is independent contractor (1099) work, not employment with Lessen the Loads. You run your own schedule and you are responsible for your own taxes. Full details are in the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.
Where do you operate?
Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware, and we are accepting applications in both.
Do I need experience?
No. Most specialists come to this without professional experience. We walk you through how the service works and what clients expect, and there is a community of specialists to lean on whenever you want it.
How soon could I start?
You could get started in as little as a few days. Complete each stage of onboarding at your own pace, with optional opportunities for extra support along the way. When you receive your first request depends on demand in your area and how far you’re willing to travel, so timing will vary.
